The GÉANT organization, the pan-European data network for the research and education community, will sponsor the meeting of their Special Interest Group – Network Operation Centre (SIG-NOC) at the RENATER offices, Paris.

The research and development lab (/rdlab) will present “Efficient energy management for servers in data centers“:
A holistic approach to the server energy consumption issue in IT facilities, using a three layer strategy (architecture, service and physical) in order to deal with energy restrictions at any level. We will share our experience at /rdlab UPC.
